How do I register for an auction?
As first-time user, create an account with Knight Frank Auctions. This is a necessary step to facilitate communications with you.
Step 1: Click Create Account and enter your particulars on the form.
Step 2: Check your email inbox for the account activation link. You will only be able to login when you activate your account.
Step 3: Log in with your username and password.
Step 4: Click “Register for Auction” on the top right-hand corner of the auction catalogue.
I have created an account but I still cannot login.
To login with the account you have created, you must activate your user account. Check your email inbox for the activation link.
How do I update my account information?
Click on Account on the top right-hand corner of your screen to update your account particulars except your email account. Your email account is your unique identifier for login.
Can I register an individual account and a business account?
Yes, you can register an individual account and a business account using different email accounts. An email account can only be used once.
Bidding
How do I bid for an item listed on Knight Frank Auctions?
To bid, register to join the auction. See “Account and Registration”. Once your registration is approved and the auction is on-going, you can place bids.
What is a “lot”?
In an auction, a Lot is an individual item or collection of items put up for sale as one unit. Each Lot is unique.
What is the reserve price?
The reserve price is the minimum selling price set by the seller. Lots can only be sold if the bid amount is at or above the reseve price. During the auction, a “Below Reserve” label indicates that the highest bid still falls below the reserve price. Once the highest bid exceeds the reseve price, “Reserve Met” will display.
What is auto bid?
Auto bid is a form of proxy bidding. The system places bids for you to keep you in the lead as the highest bidder until your pre-set maximum bid amount is reached.
Can I increase my bid by an amount higher than the bid increment?
Use the auto bid function to enter your maximum bid amount. Auto bid will place a bid up to the maximum you have set or to meet the reserve price.
What is the buyer’s premium?
Buyer’s premium, expressed as a percentage, is the premium applied to the selling price of the item. For example, if the buyer’s premium is 15% and your winning bid is $100, buyer’s premium will be $15. GST is applicable on the buyer’s premium.
How do I see my bids and other bids that have been placed?
Click on the “Bids” button next to the current highest bid to view all bids for that lot, including your bids.
Can I place a higher bid if I am outbidded just before the auction ends?
If a bid is placed within 3 minutes of the auction end time, the auction will automatically be extended for 3 minutes. You can place a higher bid during the extended time.
Payment and Collection
What are the payment terms and payment options?
Payment terms vary with the auction and stated in the Conditions of Sale and your invoice. Payment can be made by electronic transfer to Knight Frank Pte Ltd account provided on your invoice.
When can I collect items?
Collection arrangements vary with auctions, and are stated in the Conditions of Sale and/or Essential Information. Collection can only be made when the invoiced amount has been received.
How long can you keep the items if I am unable to make the collection deadline?
After the scheduled collection period, storage fees will apply. Such fees will be stated in the Conditions of Sale and/or Essential Information.

Can I bid using my tablet or mobile phone?
Knight Frank Auctions is a web-based software you can access using a web browser like Chrome and Safari. Use any device (mobile phone, tablet, laptop, desktop computer) with a web browser and stable internet connection to browse auctions and place bids on Knight Frank Auctions.
I clicked “Add to Calendar” but the auction was not added to my calendar.
When you click “Add to Calendar”, an “.ics” file containing auction details will be downloaded to the device you are using (desktop, laptop, tablet, mobile phone). Double click on this file to add the event to your preferred calendar.
