瓶唇口，短颈，丰肩，腹下渐收，圈足。通体施釉，以青花装饰。瓶身纹饰共分三层，三层纹饰均以两道弦纹间隔。肩部作天马纹，天马疾驰于云朵之上，下方海水翻涌；近足处绘蕉叶纹一周；腹部则通景描绘携琴访友图，以遒劲的老松为中线，上部云气翻卷，所绘云纹轮廓线宽广，沿着粗线内侧再用细笔画数层连接的弧状云纹或涡状云，日本陶瓷界称之为“云堂手”，此特征为明代空白期瓷器所特有。画面中一高士于云间逆风而行，衣襟飘逸，神态悠然，童子怀抱古琴紧随身后，用笔纵横舒放，洒脱随意，整体构图疏密有致，青花发色浓浓相宜，画法粗犷大气，笔意生动，给人以疏朗明快之美感。

The vase is potted with a lipped mouth, a short neck, full shoulders, a body tapering gradually towards the lower section, and a ring foot. It is glazed overall and decorated in underglaze blue. The decoration is arranged in three registers, each separated by double line borders.

The shoulder is painted with celestial horses galloping above clouds, with turbulent waves below. Around the lower section near the foot is a band of plantain leaves. The main decoration around the body forms a continuous landscape scene of a scholar carrying a qin to visit a friend. A vigorous old pine tree serves as the central axis of the composition. Above, clouds billow and roll; the cloud outlines are broad, with several layers of connected arc-shaped or spiral cloud forms painted in fine lines along the inside of the heavier contours. This type of cloud motif is known in Japanese ceramic terminology as undō-de and is a distinctive feature of Ming porcelains from the Interregnum period.

In the scene, a scholar walks against the wind among the clouds, his robes fluttering and his expression composed and leisurely, while an attendant follows closely behind carrying an ancient qin. The brushwork is bold, free and expansive, with a spontaneous ease. The overall composition is carefully balanced between density and openness. The cobalt blue is rich yet harmonious, and the painting is vigorous and animated, giving the vessel a clear, spacious and lively aesthetic effect.
