器呈六方形，侈口，长束颈，颈部对置夔凤耳，丰肩，敛腹，圈足外撇，底足露胎处可见其胎体洁白细腻、瓷质坚密。通体施釉，以青花为饰，釉色白中微泛青，青花发色浑厚。其纹样层次丰富，腹部六面的主题纹样为“八宝合一纹”，其与传统所见各自独立的八宝纹样不同，是将“轮、螺、伞、盖、花、鱼、罐、肠”等佛家八宝，与火珠、祥云等宝物，巧妙地构思绘于同一纹样中，清新雅致。外底有青花“大清乾隆年制”六字三行篆书款。

The vessel is of hexagonal form, with a flared mouth, a long waisted neck, a pair of opposing kui-phoenix handles on the neck, full shoulders, a tapering body and a ring foot flaring outward. At the exposed areas of the foot, the body is seen to be fine, white and dense in texture. The vessel is glazed overall and decorated in underglaze blue. The glaze has a faint bluish tint within the white, while the cobalt blue is rich and full in tone.

The decoration is arranged in multiple, richly layered bands. The principal design on the six facets of the body is a combined “Eight Treasures” motif. Unlike the traditional treatment in which the Eight Buddhist Emblems are shown separately, this design ingeniously integrates the Wheel, Conch, Parasol, Canopy, Lotus, Fish, Vase and Endless Knot, together with flaming pearls, auspicious clouds and other precious emblems, into a single unified composition. The result is fresh, elegant and highly refined.

The base is inscribed in underglaze blue with the six-character seal-script mark in three vertical lines: “Da Qing Qianlong nian zhi” — “Made in the Qianlong reign of the Great Qing dynasty.”
